A 27-year-old woman suffered life-altering injuries after crashing her vehicle on Highway 427 in Etobicoke early Saturday. OPP officers were called around 4 a.m. to the southbound express lanes near Rathburn Road, where a lone vehicle had struck the left guardrail.
The driver was rushed to hospital with injuries first considered life-threatening but later reclassified as life-altering.
Investigators closed the express lanes for several hours but fully reopened them by early afternoon. Police are asking anyone who witnessed the incident or has relevant information to contact the Toronto OPP detachment.
