A 60-year-old man is in critical condition after being hit by a vehicle in Pickering on Nov. 29.
Durham police say the collision occurred around 10:40 a.m. near Kingston Road and Fairport Road, when a white SUV veered off the road and struck the pedestrian as he walked along the shoulder.
The man was taken to a Toronto-area trauma centre with life-threatening injuries. The 46-year-old driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
Kingston Road was shut down for several hours while officers collected evidence, and police are asking anyone with video or information to come forward.
