A house fire early Monday in Aurora has been contained, but several road closures are still in effect, according to York police.
Emergency crews responded around 4 a.m. on Dec. 1 to a home near Bovair Trail and Leslie Street. All occupants were safely evacuated, and nearby homes were cleared as a precaution.
By about 6:30 a.m., the fire was reported under control, but northbound Leslie Street at Bloomington Road and southbound Leslie Street at Vandorf Side Road remain closed. Police are asking motorists to steer clear of the area.
