Emergency crews were called to a major collision around 6:30 p.m. on eastbound Highway 401, just west of Oxford Road 3 in Blandford-Blenheim Township. The collision involved a transport truck, an SUV, and a pickup. Police reported that the driver of the passenger vehicle involved was transported to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The stretch of Highway 401 between Cedar Creek Road and Oxford Road 29 remained closed for several hours as investigators examined the scene.
