Ontario Provincial Police responded to a three-vehicle crash at around 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, which involved a transport truck, an SUV, and a pickup. By 9 p.m., officers were still escorting stranded motorists off the highway using emergency turnarounds.
All eastbound lanes of Highway 401 between Oxford Road 29 and Cedar Creek Road were closed overnight and ended around 5:45 a.m. Wednesday. Details on injuries had not yet been released.
