Ontario Provincial Police report over 150 collisions across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton areas since early Wednesday as a fast-moving winter storm created slippery roads and poor visibility. OPP are advising drivers to avoid non-essential travel, warning of delays for tow trucks and roadside assistance.

Toronto city crews continue salting and plowing roads and sidewalks, including residential streets, due to slush expected to freeze overnight. Environment Canada has issued a yellow-level snowfall alert for much of southern Ontario, forecasting 10 to 15 cm of snow and challenging travel conditions. Officials recommend using transit if travel is necessary or staying indoors until the storm passes.
