A 26-year-old man has been charged with impaired driving after allegedly crashing his vehicle into a utility pole and flipping it onto its side in east Windsor last week.
Windsor police responded to the single-vehicle accident just before 5 a.m. on December 12, at the intersection of Lauzon Road and Wyandotte Street East. Officers found a white SUV that had struck a utility pole, causing it to overturn.
While speaking with the driver, officers noticed signs of impairment, including the smell of alcohol. He was arrested and taken to the police station, where he failed a breath test.
No injuries were reported from the crash. The man faces charges of impaired operation of a motor vehicle and operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol concentration above the legal limit.
