The driver of a fire truck in Owen Sound has been charged following a multi-vehicle collision involving a school bus and a delivery van on Monday. The crash occurred around noon at the intersection of 14th Street West and 2nd Avenue West.
Police report that a student and the fire truck driver were both taken to Brightshores Health System with minor injuries. Investigators determined that the fire truck ran a red light, causing the collision. As a result, the driver has been charged with failing to stop for a red light.
Authorities are asking any witnesses to the incident to come forward and contact the police.
