A section of McArthur Avenue was shut down Thursday morning following a collision involving a pedestrian and a vehicle.
Police announced just after 10 a.m. that the road was closed between Lafontaine and Lacasse avenues while officers investigated a report of a pedestrian being struck. Paramedics had been called to the 300 block of McArthur Avenue around 9:50 a.m.
Emergency crews found an adult woman suffering from serious injuries that were not considered life-threatening. She was treated at the scene, transported to hospital, and is reported to be in critical but stable condition.
Investigators are asking any witnesses or drivers with dashcam footage from the area at the time to come forward.
