Five 17-year-olds, three boys and two girls, are facing charges after a vehicle crashed into a cemetery fence in Scarborough around midnight near Kingston Road and Brimley Road South.

Toronto police say the car struck the fence and rolled onto its side, sending several occupants to hospital with injuries, including one girl who suffered serious injuries. Investigators later determined the vehicle had been stolen. The male driver and two male passengers were arrested at the scene, while the two girls were taken into custody at the hospital.

All five youths are charged with possession of property obtained by crime, with additional charges laid against the driver for dangerous driving and operating a vehicle without a licence. The two girls also face charges for failing to comply with an undertaking.

Their identities are protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act. Police are asking anyone with information to contact investigators or provide tips anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
