A woman in her 30s was taken to hospital after being struck by a TTC bus in Etobicoke early Friday morning. Toronto police say the collision happened around 5:54 a.m. near Evans Avenue and The West Mall. Paramedics transported the woman to a trauma centre with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
Police confirmed the bus driver stayed at the scene, and road closures in the area, including Evans Avenue and Sherway Gate, were lifted by mid-morning.
The TTC says it is cooperating with the investigation and providing support to both the pedestrian and the bus operator.
