An overnight fire in Kitchener has displaced three people after a blaze broke out at a two-storey home on Hidden Creek Drive around midnight.
The fire, which started in the garage, was contained to the front of the house. Damage is estimated at $100,000, though the fire is not considered suspicious. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
Fire officials noted that the residents were alerted to the fire by their smoke alarms and quickly called 911 for help.
