Ontario Provincial Police temporarily closed a section of Highway 11 in North Bay on Saturday night for an investigation following a serious incident.
The closure, which began around 10 p.m. near Cedar Heights, was due to a collision between a snowplow and a pedestrian. One person, a 28-year-old North Bay resident was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The public was urged to avoid the area during the investigation, which lasted until about 2:30 a.m. on Sunday when the highway was reopened.
OPP thanked the public for their patience throughout the closure but did not provide further details on the identities of those involved or the cause of the crash. No information has been released about whether any charges will be filed.
