A 79-year-old resident of North Middlesex has died following a single-vehicle rollover south of Exeter on Friday.
Emergency crews responded around noon to London Road, also known as Highway 4, where a pickup truck carrying two people had crashed. The passenger was taken to hospital with critical injuries and later died, while the driver sustained minor injuries.
Police closed part of Highway 4 for several hours to conduct their investigation. Later that afternoon, the highway between Exeter and Clinton was also shut down due to heavy snowfall, though it remains unclear whether weather conditions contributed to the crash.
Huron County OPP are continuing to investigate and are asking anyone with information to come forward.
