Fire crews in Windsor responded to a residential blaze in the 800 block of Windsor Avenue. The fire originated on the second floor of an apartment building and was quickly contained, with smoke successfully ventilated from the structure.
Investigators determined the cause was a heat lamp that had been operating too close to a couch. One adult resident and two dogs were forced to leave the home due to the damage.
Officials estimate losses at approximately $200,000. No injuries were reported.
