A Blind River man is facing several charges following a single-vehicle crash investigated by Ontario Provincial Police over the weekend. Officers were called around 9:10 a.m. on December 20 after a black pickup truck was found in a ditch on Woodward Avenue.

Police determined the 39-year-old driver showed signs of impairment and was arrested at the scene. Further investigation revealed the truck was not insured and the driver did not have a valid licence or required vehicle documentation. The vehicle was towed and impounded.

The man has been charged with multiple offences, including impaired driving, exceeding the legal blood alcohol limit, driving without insurance, operating a vehicle without a licence, and failing to carry a permit. He also received a 90-day licence suspension and is set to appear in court in Elliot Lake on January 20.
