A Meaford man is facing multiple charges after police responded to reports of a suspected impaired driver on Highway 26 Monday evening.
Grey Bruce OPP were alerted around 6:30 p.m. by a witness who reported a dark pickup truck travelling with its hazard lights on before crossing the roadway and hitting a guardrail near Grey Road 112. Officers later located the vehicle and charged the 27-year-old driver with impaired driving and dangerous operation.
As part of the penalties, his licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for seven days. He was released and is scheduled to appear in Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on January 8.
