A 20-year-old novice driver from Brampton has been suspended following a crash in Orangeville early Saturday morning. Dufferin OPP say officers were called to the Gooseberry Street area around 1:45 a.m. after receiving reports of a vehicle performing donuts. When police arrived, they found the vehicle had ended up in a ditch.

The driver was charged with several offences, including impaired operation and violating novice driver conditions by having alcohol in their system. Under Ontario law, novice drivers must maintain a zero blood-alcohol level. As a result, the driver received a 90-day licence suspension and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
