A man is facing multiple charges after a hit-and-run involving two vehicles in Guelph. Police say the incident happened Tuesday evening around 6:21 p.m. after the driver had been drinking at a restaurant and was refused further service.
Investigators allege he then drove east on Clair Road and stopped at a red light at Gordon Street. When the light changed, he abruptly moved into the centre and curb lanes, striking two vehicles before driving away.
Officers later located the suspect at a nearby residence and arrested him. The 42-year-old Puslinch resident has been charged with dangerous driving, failing to stop after a collision, and impaired operation. His licence was suspended for 90 days, and his vehicle was impounded for seven days.
