Ontario Provincial Police report that a 31-year-old man from Caledon is facing impaired driving charges after a two-vehicle crash that caused serious injuries.
The collision occurred on December 21, just after 3:45 p.m., on Charleston Side Road near Shaws Creek Road. Several people traveling in one of the vehicles were seriously hurt, while the driver of the other vehicle was taken into custody at the scene.
Police say the accused has been charged with two counts of impaired driving causing bodily harm and one count related to having a blood alcohol level over the legal limit. He is expected to appear in court in Orangeville in January. Authorities also imposed an immediate 90-day licence suspension and seized the vehicle for seven days.
