A man has been taken into police custody on suspicion of impaired driving after a single-vehicle crash near Exhibition Place early Wednesday.
The collision occurred just before 6:50 a.m. in the area of Lake Shore Boulevard and Ontario Drive. Police say the vehicle struck a hydro pole and damaged nearby trees.
Both the driver and a female passenger suffered minor injuries. Paramedics reported that neither occupant was inside the vehicle when emergency crews arrived, as they had exited the car and were found walking in the area.
