Two paramedics were hospitalized after a dump truck collided with an ambulance in Bowmanville on Monday. Ontario Provincial Police say emergency crews were initially responding to a vehicle rollover on Highway 401 at Bennett Road when the incident occurred.
The 67-year-old dump truck driver struck the ambulance, pushing it into a Clarington firetruck. The driver, whose name was not released, has been charged with careless driving. The severity of the paramedics’ injuries has not been disclosed.
