The Fort Erie–bound lanes of the Queen Elizabeth Way have reopened after a multi-vehicle collision near Hamilton caused major disruptions Wednesday morning, police say.

Ontario Provincial Police reported that a tractor-trailer and three other vehicles were involved in the crash west of Fruitland Road. One passenger was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Several lanes were shut down for much of the morning while crews cleared debris and addressed a fuel spill. The cause of the collision has not yet been determined.
