A fatal crash near Hanover on Thursday afternoon left one man dead and a young girl injured.
West Grey Police report the collision occurred around 5 p.m. on Sideroad 5, between Concessions 4 NDR and 6 NDR. The male driver was pronounced dead at the scene. At the family’s request, authorities have not released his identity. A female youth was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The West Grey Police, with support from the OPP Technical Collision Investigations Unit, investigated the scene, and the roadway has since reopened. Police expressed condolences to the families and asked the public to respect the privacy of those affected.
