Kitchener firefighters were called to a late-night fire at a multi-unit residence on Queen Street South on Friday. Crews arrived to find a fire confined to one room and were able to extinguish it quickly. Five fire trucks responded to the incident.
No injuries were reported among residents or firefighters, and everyone living in the home was able to return after the situation was made safe. Fire officials say the blaze was accidental and not considered suspicious. A damage estimate has not yet been released.
