An elderly woman has died after being hit by a falling tree branch in Mississauga.
Peel Regional Police say officers were called to the area of High Street East and Lakeshore Road East around 2:30 p.m. Friday for a medical emergency. When they arrived, they found a woman in her 80s who had been struck by a tree branch that fell during strong winds.
She was taken to hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
