Three people were hospitalized after a head-on collision on Prince of Wales Drive in Ottawa on Sunday morning.
Emergency crews were called to the roadway south of Hunt Club Road shortly before 9 a.m. Paramedics reported that one man was taken to hospital in critical condition, while another man and a woman were transported with stable injuries.
Ottawa Fire Services said both drivers were trapped inside their vehicles and required extrication. One was freed just after 9 a.m., while the second driver was removed about 15 minutes later using specialized techniques to safely lift the dashboard away from their legs.
