A single-vehicle crash that brought down a traffic light pole caused road closures in Brampton early Monday.
Peel Regional Police say the collision happened around 5:25 a.m. at the intersection of Sandalwood Parkway and Braidwood Lake Road. The impact knocked the traffic light pole onto the roadway, blocking lanes in the area.
As a result, Sandalwood Parkway was closed at Conestoga Drive and Braidwood Lake Road. Police advised motorists to avoid the area and use alternate routes while crews worked to clear the scene.
