Peel Regional Police are asking for the public’s help after a hit-and-run in Brampton left a woman injured.
The incident happened just before 6 p.m. on Jan. 9 near Ray Lawson Boulevard and Falstaff Drive, east of Mavis Road. Investigators say a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle whose driver did not stop and continued westbound on Ray Lawson Boulevard.
The woman suffered fractures and was taken to hospital, where she is now recovering.
Police have released images of the suspected vehicle, described as a white, four-door Honda Civic from the 2010 to 2015 model years with damage to the front end. Debris collected at the scene is undergoing forensic analysis, and officers are reviewing CCTV and dashcam footage while tracing the vehicle’s possible route.
Authorities are urging the driver to turn themselves in and are asking anyone with information — including auto repair workers who may have seen a damaged vehicle matching the description — to contact police or provide tips anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
