A major snowstorm on Thursday caused several road closures across the region, including a shutdown of Highway 7/8 eastbound through Kitchener.
Ontario Provincial Police said the eastbound lanes were closed at Trussler Road shortly after 11 a.m. due to a multi-vehicle collision. The closure extended between Trussler Road and Fischer-Hallman Road, with police reporting non-life-threatening injuries.
Cleanup and recovery efforts lasted roughly two hours before traffic was allowed to resume in the eastbound lanes.
