Police are investigating a hit-and-run involving a pedestrian at a Windsor intersection Thursday evening.

The incident occurred just before 8 p.m. as a man was walking west across Edinborough Street and was struck by a vehicle heading south on Howard Avenue. The driver did not stop or offer help and fled the scene.

The injured pedestrian was taken to hospital with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.

Investigators believe the vehicle involved is a black Toyota sedan. Police are urging nearby residents and business owners to check surveillance or dashcam footage that may help identify the driver.
