Police are continuing to look for a suspect following a stolen vehicle investigation that ended with a crash involving a police cruiser in Whitby on Saturday afternoon.
Durham Regional Police say officers spotted a stolen vehicle in the area of Cochrane Street, between Taunton Road and Rossland Road, and briefly pursued it. During the incident, the suspect vehicle collided with a police cruiser before three individuals ran from the scene into a nearby green space.
Two of the suspects have been arrested, while a third remains outstanding. No injuries were reported.
Cochrane Street was temporarily closed between Taunton Road and Rossland Road as officers conducted their investigation, and motorists were advised to steer clear of the area.
