A Sunday morning crash involving two vehicles on a rural stretch of eastern Ottawa left three men hurt, one of them critically, emergency officials reported.

Ottawa police temporarily shut down Anderson Road between Ridge Road South and Russell Road while responding to the collision and advised motorists to stay clear of the area. Paramedics arrived at the scene shortly after 11:30 a.m. and provided emergency care to three male victims.

All were taken to a trauma centre. Two men in their 40s sustained non-life-threatening injuries, while a man in his 70s was listed in serious condition.
