A 31-year-old man from Kirkland Lake is facing multiple charges following a single-vehicle crash last month in Larder Lake Township.

Ontario Provincial Police were called to Highway 66 around 5 a.m. on Dec. 18. Police say the driver was not injured, but officers determined he had consumed alcohol. He was taken to the OPP detachment for further testing.

During a search of the vehicle, officers found open alcohol and suspected psilocybin mushrooms, which were seized.

The man is charged with impaired driving, dangerous operation, uttering threats, driving while prohibited, drug possession, failing to wear a seatbelt, driving without a licence, and having open liquor in the vehicle. His licence was automatically suspended for 90 days, and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.

He is scheduled to appear in Kirkland Lake Ontario Court of Justice on Jan. 22.
