Fire crews in Sault Ste. Marie responded to a sauna fire late on the night of Jan. 20 at a home on Laronde Avenue. Firefighters were called just before 10 p.m. and arrived to find smoke and flames coming from a backyard sauna.
Crews quickly brought the fire under control, preventing it from spreading. No injuries were reported, though the sauna sustained heavy fire and smoke damage.
