Police are warning motorists about a temporary highway closure in Caledon after a collision damaged a natural gas line.

Ontario Provincial Police say Highway 9 was shut down shortly after 1 p.m. between Airport Road and The Gore Road, a stretch of about 4.5 kilometres. The closure was put in place to address damage to a nearby gas line caused by the crash. No injuries were reported.

Police later confirmed that Highway 9 reopened to traffic shortly after 4 p.m.
