A 21-year-old man is facing impaired driving charges after his car was found stuck in a snowbank on Highway 118.

Bracebridge police were called to a single-vehicle collision on the Highway 11 North on-ramp in Bracebridge on the night of Jan. 19. Upon arriving at the scene, officers arrested a man from Orillia.

He has been charged with operating a vehicle while impaired, having a blood alcohol level over the legal limit, and violating novice driver conditions by registering alcohol in his system. He is expected to appear in court at a later date.

Police are reminding the public to report suspected impaired drivers by calling 9-1-1, noting that such reports often lead to investigations, charges, and the removal of impaired drivers from Muskoka roadways.
