Three people are facing charges after an alleged shoplifting incident involving thousands of dollars in alcohol at an Ontario store. Ontario Provincial Police say the theft occurred around 4:15 p.m. Monday at a business on Riddell Road near Centennial Road in Orangeville. Investigators allege three individuals entered the store, took a large quantity of alcohol without paying, and fled by vehicle.
Police later located the suspect vehicle shortly before 5 p.m. following a two-vehicle collision near Heart Lake Road in Caledon. No one was injured, and all three suspects were arrested at the scene.
OPP say Ankit Ankit, 26, Iqlovedeep Singh, 29, and Simranjeet Singh, 27, all from Brampton, have been charged with several offences, including theft under $5,000. All three were held for bail hearings at the Ontario Court of Justice.
