Essex County OPP are investigating a fatal residential fire in Leamington.
Emergency crews were called to a home on Seacliff Drive West shortly after 7:15 a.m. Sunday. Police say one person was found inside the residence and was pronounced dead at the scene. The individual’s identity has not yet been released.
Authorities say there is no ongoing risk to public safety. The cause of the fire is under investigation by the OPP Crime Unit, with support from the Office of the Fire Marshal. Anyone with information is asked to contact Essex County OPP.
