Kingsway Boulevard has reopened in Greater Sudbury after a single-vehicle crash early Monday morning left two people hospitalized.
Ontario Provincial Police responded to the collision on the Highway 17 bypass around 1 a.m. Both occupants of the vehicle were taken to a local hospital, with one person suffering serious injuries and the other sustaining life-threatening injuries.
The roadway was closed in both directions for nearly nine hours between the Kingsway and the Highway 69 junction while police investigated. OPP technical collision investigation and reconstruction teams are assisting in determining the cause.
Police are asking anyone who witnessed the crash or has dashcam footage from the area at the time to contact OPP or submit tips anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
