Three people were taken to hospital after a two-vehicle collision near downtown Mississauga on Wednesday night.

Peel Regional Police say the crash happened around 9:30 p.m. on Centre View Drive, just east of Mavis Road and south of Highway 403. Emergency crews responded to the scene and initially reported that one person had suffered serious injuries, while two others were listed in critical condition.

Police later confirmed Thursday morning that all three individuals sustained injuries that were not life-threatening. One of the victims was trapped inside a vehicle and had to be freed by Mississauga Fire and Emergency Services.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
