Traffic was brought to a standstill on Highway 400 Friday morning after a collision involving multiple vehicles occurred south of Cookstown. Ontario Provincial Police confirmed they attended the scene, where all northbound lanes were temporarily closed just below Highway 89.

Lane restrictions were gradually lifted, and by 11:30 a.m. the two left lanes were back open to traffic. Although early accounts suggested up to six vehicles were involved, including a propane truck, police have not verified those reports. Authorities also confirmed no one was injured in the crash.
