Ontario Provincial Police are investigating another deadly snowmobile crash that occurred Saturday on a marked trail in northern Ontario.
Police say they were called around 2:30 p.m. on Feb. 7 to a single-vehicle snowmobile collision on OFSC Trail L123 near the intersection of Stevens Road and Swanson Road in Kapuskasing. The rider, a 67-year-old man from Ingersoll, was pronounced dead at the scene.
OPP technical collision investigators and a reconstruction specialist have been assigned to the case as the investigation continues. Access to the trail was shut down for several hours while police examined the area and reopened shortly before 2:30 a.m. Sunday.
Anyone with information related to the incident is urged to contact police.
