A fire in a downtown London apartment caused an estimated $50,000 in damage but resulted in no injuries, fire officials say.
London Fire Department crews were called shortly after 11 a.m. to 362 Dundas Street, home to House of Hope, a supportive housing complex run by London Cares since 2023. The blaze was confined to a single second-floor unit, displacing one resident. Firefighters quickly located the source and extinguished the fire. The cause remains under investigation.
The mid-rise building, formerly a hotel, now provides 50 supportive housing units with round-the-clock health and social services for residents.
