Ontario Provincial Police say emergency crews were called to a residential fire in New Tecumseth on Saturday morning that left one person hospitalized.
Officers were dispatched around 10:30 a.m. to Mill Street East in the Tottenham community. Police confirmed that one individual was taken to hospital with minor injuries as a precaution.
Mill Street East was temporarily shut down between Queen Street and Keogh Street while firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze. The road reopened at approximately 3:30 p.m. after the fire was brought under control.
