A 34-year-old pedestrian was seriously injured after being struck by a pickup truck on Walpole Island Monday morning.
Emergency crews were called to Chiefs Road shortly after 10 a.m. following reports of a collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian in Walpole Island.
The injured person, a local resident, was transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities say the investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident is continuing.
