A house fire in Blind River on Wednesday afternoon left one firefighter with minor injuries.
Emergency crews were dispatched to a residence on the west end of Youngfox Road at about 4:48 p.m. The response involved 16 firefighters and five fire vehicles.
Firefighters managed to contain and put out the blaze quickly, preventing it from spreading to nearby homes. No residents were injured or killed in the incident.
The injured firefighter received treatment at a hospital and was released later the same evening. Officials have not yet determined the cause of the fire, and the extent of damage to the home remains unknown.
