Transit service has returned to normal along a section of Line 5 Eglinton Crosstown after a crash between a car and a light rail vehicle temporarily halted operations.
The collision occurred between Sloane Avenue and Pharmacy Avenue, where LRT trains operate in a shared roadway with regular traffic. As a result, shuttle buses were brought in to move passengers through the affected area.
Service was restored shortly after 12:15 p.m. The cause of the crash has not yet been determined.
Toronto police and Crosslinx Transit Solutions, which maintains the line, are investigating the incident, according to the TTC.
