A man was rescued from a high-rise apartment in Etobicoke after a fire broke out late Monday morning.
Toronto Fire Services responded to a residential building on Richview Road, near Eglinton Avenue West and Scarlett Road, at about 11:37 a.m. after reports of a blaze in a unit on the 19th floor.
Firefighters pulled a man from the apartment and he was transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported.
The fire was contained to a single unit and has since been put out. Crews remained at the scene to check for any remaining hotspots.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
