A man is facing impaired driving charges following a crash involving a dump truck in Whitchurch-Stouffville.
York Regional Police say emergency crews responded to a collision at the intersection of Bloomington Road East and Ninth Line at about 10:45 a.m. on March 9. Investigators determined that a dump truck struck the back of another vehicle at the intersection.
The driver of the other vehicle sustained minor injuries.
Police say breath tests taken from the dump truck driver measured more than three times the legal blood-alcohol limit. A 34-year-old Brampton man has been charged with impaired operation of a vehicle and operating a vehicle with a blood alcohol level exceeding the legal limit.
